Public Service Rooted in Community
Cade Resnick’s public service is shaped by more than two decades of deep involvement in Winter Springs and Seminole County, beginning when he moved to the area in 2001. His leadership style reflects the same qualities that defined his years as a teacher and mental health counselor: steady communication, thoughtful listening, and a genuine commitment to helping people feel supported and understood. As the District Four Commissioner and current Deputy Mayor, Cade approaches every decision with a long‑term view of what will strengthen the city for families, businesses, and future generations.
His work on the Commission is grounded in accessibility and collaboration. Cade’s background in psychology and education gives him a unique ability to navigate complex issues with clarity and empathy, ensuring that policy decisions reflect both data and the lived experiences of the people who call Winter Springs home.
Beyond his formal role in city government, Cade invests time and energy into the organizations that help Winter Springs thrive. He is actively involved with the Winter Springs Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, the Rescue Outreach Mission, and partners with several community charities that focus on youth development, family support, and neighborhood well‑being. These connections keep him closely tied to the day‑to‑day needs of residents and reinforce his belief that strong cities are built through shared responsibility and consistent engagement.
A Career Dedicated to Helping People Thrive
Cade has dedicated his career to helping people. Before entering mental health counseling, Cade was a public-school teacher helping students build strong foundations in understanding human behavior.
Today, Cade continues his commitment to supporting individuals and families through his work as a mental health counselor. His training includes a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and both master’s and doctoral degrees from Nova Southeastern University.
This background gives him a unique lens as a public official—one grounded in empathy, communication, and evidence‑based problem‑solving.
Family at the Heart of Everything
Above all, Cade is a devoted family man. Cade is married to Susan and is the father of three wonderful children. Whether he’s cheering from the sidelines at soccer games, attending dance events, or supporting his children’s many activities, family remains his greatest joy and motivation.
His experience raising three children in Winter Springs fuels his commitment to safe neighborhoods, everlasting infrastructure, and a community where families can grow and thrive.
